When you think of sun and fun - and things that happened in Southern California last week - you may think of Coachella. Here at MySupport though, we think of the 2016 California Supported Living Network Conference. The CSLN Conference provides an opportunity for supported living and independent living professionals (as well as the individuals and families they serve) to come together, share resources and information, and discuss urgent and emerging issues for Californians with developmental disabilities. During our time at the conference we had the privilege to meet many people for all across the state and discuss how the MySupport platform is useful in managing the working relationships of people with disabilities and direct support workers. We are particularly excited about the interest we received from individuals and agencies in the area, as we prepare to expand into Southern California.
MySupport has been operational in Northern California for the last year. In that time the platform has grown to over 1,000 users and we have developed strong relationships with many community organizations and Regional Centers. Based off the feedback we received at the CSLN Conference and other stakeholder gatherings, we plan to bring the MySupport platform to Southern California. As many people with disabilities as possible should have access to the platform so they can use it as a tool to live the lives they want. We here at MySupport: California want to take a moment to thank our existing agency and community partners. Your feedback and support of the platform has been remarkable. We are thankful to have your continued support as we undertake bringing MySupport to Southern California.
